Melton College, York

We aim to help our students communicate. We do this by providing a caring environment where we know our students needs. We do this by celebrating our history, our size and our location; making the most of what we can offer.
Founded in 1963, Melton College is the oldest Language school in the North of England. We now also own a top-quality boutique hotel – next door to the College!

Our Courses

We have courses from all ages from 11 to 80+ In addition to classroom-based lessons, we arrange a variety of social events, excursions, activities and accompanied visits to places of interest in York.

Our Buildings and Gardens

Melton College and Melton Guest House are in carefully converted Victorian buildings with extensive private landscaped grounds, yet only a short walk from the heart of York. The College has well-equipped classrooms, a small library, a conservatory, a Coffee Shop, and free Wi-Fi access.

Over the years we have developed our building and grounds to suit the changing needs of our students. In our beautiful garden students can study in peace, play tennis, basketball and table-tennis or just relax! We make use of our large terrace for barbecues and other social activities. All this is in one building; spacious, safe and secure!
