We are delighted to announce the launch of our new student hotel, next door to the College! Formerly York’s top Bed and Breakfast Hotel (winner the Visit York Tourism awards “Best B&B”), Bishop’s is now exclusively for the use of our adult students and families!
Who can stay?
Bishop’s is available for adult students and families, where a child is accompanied by a parent. As well as single rooms, the hotel has a number of twins and double rooms so couples or friends can also stay – and take advantage of the second person discount!
How many Rooms?
Bishop’s has 14 en-suite rooms, including singles, doubles or twins, and family rooms (doubles with an adjoining single). As Bishops is being offered as a hotel, bedding and towels are, of course, provided.
What about meals?
Bishop’s will be offered on a bed and breakfast basis. A continental breakfast will be available every morning. For evening meals, Bishops will have the option of self-catering, or students can buy meal vouchers for The Chopping Block restaurant.
What about families?
Children are welcome, if staying with a parent. We have some double rooms with an additional bed, as well as some double rooms with a single room next door.
How much does it cost?
The price will depend on the length of stay. One week will cost £50 per night (£350 for 7 nights). The second week, the price per night drops to £45 and from the third week the price is just £40 per night!
For the second occupant (partner, friend, child) the price for the first week is £30 per night, the second week £27.50 per night and the third week an incredible £25 per night!
Children using the additional (third) bed in their parent’s room pay just £15 per night, bed and breakfast!
