Loxdale - Tuition
Winter course:
Children and adults both have classes at Loxdale in different buildings and with slightly different lesson times.
Summer course:
Children have classes at Loxdale. Parents have lessons with our partner school, The ELC at their main building in Hove. Parents can choose to study 20, 25 or 30 lessons per week. This is about a 12/15-minute bus journey from Loxdale.
After the first day, teenagers are welcome to walk/get the bus to and from school by themselves.
We expect children aged 8 to 12 years (Pre-Teens) to be brought to and from school each day by their parent. The adult tuition starts after the children so that parents have time to drop their child off for their classes before going to their own. If the parent can’t pick up their child at the right time because of their own social programme, they don’t need to worry. We will look after their child on site until they can pick them up.
Loxdale - Activities
Winter course:
Children take part in a range of fun activities with other children of their age group. Parents have the option of joining our social programme with the adult students. Parents are welcome to join their child for the weekend trips.
Summer course:
Children take part in a range of fun activities with other children of their age group. Parents have the option of joining the ELC’s social programme with the adult students. Parents are welcome to join their child for the weekend trips.
See the downloads on the left of this page for an example of our Activity Programme!
Loxdale - Accommodation
Every family is different. Sometimes we get a parent with one teenager and one pre-teen, sometimes one pre-teen, sometimes, the whole family. We help each family find the best accommodation solution for them. In the past families have chosen between the following:
- To live together with one of our selected hosts.
- For the parent and younger child to live with one host and the old child/teenager to live with another host or in our residence.
- For the parent to live with a host or with a hotel whilst their children live with our hosts or in our small onsite residence.
- To find their own Air BnB accommodation
- To bring a camper van and stay on a camp site.
Whatever your need, just ask us to see what solution we can find to suit you.
