York Minster is visible from almost anywhere in York, and is one of the city's most famous sights.
York Minster's size - it is the largest mediaeval Gothic Cathedral in Northern Europe - is not its only impressive feature. Its interior houses some of the most important mediaeval stained glass in the world, and it is the cathedral of the second-most important figure in the Church of England, the Archibishop of York.

One of the earliest purpose-built museums in the country.
The museum houses galleries showcasing some of Britains finest archaeological treasures from the citys Roman, Viking and medieval past as well as a nationally significant natural science collection, some of which is on show in Yorkshires Jurassic World. Highlights of the archaeological collections include the Roman statue of Mars, the best example of 3D Roman sculpture ever found in Britain, the York Helmet and the stunning Middleham Jewel.
We may be biased, but the best beer in Britain comes from Yorkshire and we will show you why!

York is the ideal place to experience the UK's rich beer culture, being surrounded by famous breweries such as Black Sheep in Masham and Turning Point in Knaresborough. It also contains its own up-and-coming craft brewery in Brew York, which serves over 45 different beers in its tap hall. Taste a range of local beers and ales in a perfect introduction to this part of the English experience.

Built by the Romans, knocked down by the Vikings, rebuilt by mediaeval Englishmen, the history of York's walls is long, yet they still stand. They encircle the town's mediaeval centre, still following the Roman route. Walking them, we will follow in the footsteps of a thousand years' worth of York people.

Can you tell your cheddar from your Wensleydale? Cheese has always been a part of English food but many smaller cheeses and cheese makers disappeared in the twentieth century. Thankfully, a resurgence of artisan cheesemaking means that some lovely local cheeses are available again!

Yorkshire has some of the most dramatic coastline in England with long sandy beaches, high cliffs and some beautiful coastal towns and villages.
The coast's highlights are Robin Hood's Bay, a gorgeous cove known for its beauty, fossils and rockpools. We'll also visit Whitby, a fishing town with literary links - it is the place Dracula landed in England after sailing from Bulgaria. Explore these wonderful places, and try some fish and chips while you do!

Bolton Abbey was founded in the 1100s, and parts of it still stand today.
Bolton Abbey is famous as one of the most beautiful places in The Yorkshire Dales National Park. We will visit the Abbey, walk round the estate and enjoy the scenery before heading to Harrogate, a pretty little spa town for some free time and shopping.

This is a traditional Christian choral service and a real York experience. Hear carefully selected music sung by a leading choir, all in the peerless beauty of the Minster. William Byrd and Thomas Tallis are among two of the revered composers whose work you could encounter in this greatest of UK churches.

The Royal Armouries is home to one of the world's largest collections of arms and armour, but also provides a fascinating insight into some of the wars which have shaped Europe over the last 1000 years.
The museum is in Leeds and a short walk brings us to the shopping area for some free time!

We will finish this year's Easter Course with a trip to the Lake District. England's highest mountains rise above stunningly beautiful lakes, offering breathtaking views and a chance to admire some of the traditional towns and villages in the area.
