A week is not a long time to explore Britiain's best historic City, and to improve your English! We will do all we can to help you get the most out of your course!

Please be at College by 0915. The College will be open from 0830.

Every day you will have 4 lessons of 45 minutes. On your first morning, you will start with a short test, followed by an induction. You will probably be in class by about half way through the second lesson.

This is our chance to show you some of the highlights which make York one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe!

We will also show you the bus stops, where to change money, the main shopping areas and our meeting points for activities in the City.

York Minster is the highlight of any visit to the City and is one of the best-loved and most visited buildings in the UK!

You will have a private, guided tour of the Cathedral followed by some activities, led by your teachers.

York is home to the largest Railway Museum in the World.

ed It's not all about trains and engineering. This enormous museum also includes the Royal Carriages. See how the British Royal Family from Queen Victoria to Queen Elizabeth II travelled by train!

Famous for being the first of its kind, the much imitated Jorvik centre is a great introduction to Viking York.

Sit back and be carried round this detailed reconstruction of Viking streets, houses and workshops, then visit the museum!

A great way to hear some scary stories, a York tradition started by a local teacher to entertain his class!

The Ghost Walk is led by a local actor so you get a chance to listen to a new voice.

The Royal Armouries Museum is a fascinating tour through the history of the country seen through the powerful but tragic influence of war.

Leeds is the closest of the North's post-industrial towns and boasts some amazing Victorian Arcades.

Your bus will leave from Holgate Park ar 0930. The bus will be available for loading from 0910. Before reaching the airport, you will have some free time in Manchester.
