You are landing at Manchester Airport and will spend a bit of time in Manchester before coming to York!

Please make sure you collect your luggage. If any is missing, you must complete a missing luggage form before leaving the security area.

Your families will collect you from Holgate Park, or a taxi will collect you and take you to meet your host family at home.

We will keep the families updated about your flight and journey, so they will be there to meet you as soon as possible!

You have a great opportunity to practice your English!

Once you are home in the evening, please do not go out again unless there is an activity in this programme.

Please try to get to College for 09:00 on your first day. Your family may bring you, or you may be making the journey on your own. There is a bus pass on the back of your Melton College ID Card if you live further than walking distance from the College.

Remember, in England we drive on the left so be very careful crossing roads! Use a Pedestrian Crossing, if possible!

From the top of Clifford's Tower you can see 360 degree views of our city and the land around it, so you can imagine how useful it was for spotting groups of invaders.

The Tower has been used as a keep, a prison, and a royal mint throughout its history, and has recently been redeveloped for visitors.
