You are arriving into Newcastle Port. The journey to York will take about two and a half hours. We'll be waiting for you when you arrive!

Please make sure you collect your luggage and have everything with you.

Your families will collect you from Holgate Park, or a taxi will collect you and take you to meet your host family at home.

We will keep the families updated about your flight and journey, so they will be there to meet you as soon as possible!

You have a great opportunity to practice your English!

Once you are home in the evening, please do not go out again unless there is an activity in this programme.

Your family may bring you to College but you may be making the journey on your own. There is a bus pass on the back of your Melton College ID Card.

Remember, in England we drive on the left so be very careful crossing roads! Use a Pedestrian Crossing, if possible!

You will visit St. Peter's School and watch some rugby, one of England's most popular sports.

You will also have a look around the school and meet some of the students.

We will visit Clifford's Tower, part of York's old castle and site of some of York's darkest historic events.

We will then go on a ghost walk, visiting some of the city's most haunted locations and hearing about the ghosts that supposedly exist there.

We will head to Shambles Food Market to do some project work.

You will choose one of the vendors and make a promotional video, sampling some of their delicious produce!

We will all meet at the College for one last activity. There will be a quiz and a chance to say goodbye to everyone.

We will also give you your certificates before you go home.

Your hosts will bring you to Holgate Park.
