You are landing at Manchester Airport. There will be a coach waiting outside ready to take you to York, but you will stop for the day in Leeds on your way in!

Please make sure you collect your luggage. If any is missing, you must complete a missing luggage form before leaving the security area. There won't be any stops on the journey, so make sure you use the toilets at the airport if you need them!

You will spend the day in Leeds before arriving in York. The Royal Armouries is home to one of the world's largest collections of arms and armour, but also provides a fascinating insight into some of the wars which have shaped Europe over the last 1000 years.

After visiting the museum, we will walk together into the centre of Leeds, where you will have some free time with the opportunity to get lunch and go shopping!

Your families will collect you from our coach arrival point and take you home!

We will keep the families updated about your flight and journey, so they will be there to meet you as soon as possible! Make sure to double check that you've got the right luggage to take home with you.

Get to know your host families and settle into your accommodation. Your host families will explain everything you need to know about living in their home, their routines, and their rules. Your first evening is a great opportunity for you to get to know them!

Your host families will look after you throughout your time in York. They will provide you with breakfast, a packed lunch to bring to College, and dinner when you get home in the evening. Please remember to be polite and respectful!

At the end of activities, you must go home straight away. Your teachers and group leaders have set this rule, so make sure you follow it. You are not allowed to go out again in the evening.

The curfew times exist to keep you safe. Please make sure you always follow this rule so that your teachers, host families and Melton College staff know you are safe and do not need to worry about you.

Please meet your group outside Melton College at 10:00. If you have a bus pass, make sure you bring it with you, because you will take the bus to Hollywood Bowl with your group leaders.

Today is a chance to have fun and relax with a morning of shopping, an afternoon of bowling, and whatever else your group leaders have got planned for you!

Your host family will show you how to come to the College, or they might bring you themselves. If you need one, there will be a First York bus pass on the back of your Melton College ID Card. Just show this to the driver as you get on the bus.

Remember, in England we drive on the left so be very careful crossing roads! Use a Pedestrian Crossing, if possible!

This afternoon's lessons will take place inside York Minster, which dominates the city skyline and is the biggest tourist attraction in the region!

We will have a guided tour and complete some lesson activities, learning about some of its history and most important features.

Manchester is one of the UK's most popular cities, known for its football, music, and social culture.
