Treasure Hunts are a city-based quiz. The answers are in shop windows and on street signs - but you have to find them!
We will get together at the end to find out who has won and have a hot drink.

York Minster dominates the city skyline and is the biggest tourist attraction in the region!
We will have a look round, including a guided tour. This is also a great location for a "Lesson Out" so we will be doing some project work based round our visit.

A day at the seaside

Yorkshire has some of the most dramatic coastline in England with long sandy beaches, high cliffs and some beautiful coastal towns and villages.
We will visit Robin Hood's Bay and Whitby and also have the chance to visit Goathland - home to Hogsmead station, a must for Harry Potter fans!

York has a rich history in chocolate and is home to KitKat, Yorkie and Smarties. This is your chance to make (and eat) some York chocolate

OPTIONAL EXTRA. We will let you choose from the films on offer and will go to the Cinema in the late afternoon.
This is one of our optional extra events and so there is an additional charge per participant. This can be paid online or at the College Café using cash, debit or credit card.

York is home to the largest Railway Museum in the World.
It's not all about trains and engineering. This enormous museum also includes the Royal Carriages. See how the British Royal Family from Queen Victoria to Queen Elizabeth II travel by train!

Test your general knowledge in small teams. The quiz is not about English but it may be about England! During the quiz we will have our evening meal.
Swords and shopping

The Royal Armouries is home to one of the world's largest collections of arms and armour, but also provides a fascinating insight into some of the wars which have shaped Europe over the last 1000 years.
The museum is in Leeds and a short walk brings us to the shopping area for some free time!

The history of film, photography and television

The National Media Museum is in Bradford and is part of the National Science Museum.
Set in a former cinema, the museum traces the history of photography, film and television. We will also visit Salt's Mill, now a shopping outlet, but originally a mill and town built by Titus Salt, famous for his progressive ideas.

Bonfire Night commemorates the day on which Guy Fawkes - who was born and went to school in York - tried to blow-up the Houses of parliament.
