We are really happy that we can welcome you to York, even if this year's course will have to be quite different! We have lots of fun things planned and we hope we can help you get the most out of your time with us! Obviously, we all have to be very careful and we have some special rules to help you stay safe. We have set out your classroom to give you lots of space and we will be avoiding crowded places when we are in York. I am sure you are looking forward to being with us, we are looking forward to teaching you!

Get to know York on a guided tour with one of your teachers. Also a chance for a bit of shopping for anything you have forgotten! We will also be walking along one of the sections of our beautiful City Walls, the finest set of City Walls in Britain and a great way to see the City!

See who knows the most about the world at our fun General Knowledge Quiz! The quiz is photo based so it is not about who speaks the best English. We will have some drinks and ice-cream at half-time!

Navigate round York following clues and finding answers! Who will be first back? The Treasure Hunt will explore some of York's amazing network of medieval streets and passages before finishing in the main square.

The largest Gothic Cathedral in Northern Europe, the best collection of medieval stained glass in the world, with over 100 windows and over 2,000,000 pieces of glass! You will have a private guided tour with one of the teachers.

Make and eat the famous Yorkshire Pudding! Actually, really easy to make and they taste delicious!

A full-day trip to Robin Hood's Bay, Whitby and the beautiful North York Moors including Goathland, home to Heartbeat and Harry Potter!

Compete with your friends to complete some fun challenges! We have found some great games you can play while still maintaining social distance. Prizes for the winners and chocolate for everyone!

A guided visit to the largest railway museum in the world! It's not all about trains. The museum is also home to the amazing Royal Carriages! See how Queen Victoria went on holiday!

Our second Treasure Hunt follows a different route and has some harder questions! We might finish the event in a local café where we can warm-up with a cup of Hot Chocolate.

We are going to do a photo project in the City Centre which will go on our course blog. Also, a chance for some present shopping for the family and time to buy some mementos of your time in York!

Our last day so what could be more English than celebrating with Afternoon Tea? We will me making and eating "Fat Rascals" a delicious local cake!
