You need to be at Melton College for 09:00 ready to start. This is our chance to show you some of the highlights which make York one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe!
We will also show you the bus stops, where to change money, the main shopping areas and our meeting points for activities in the City.

We have hired a coach to take all of us to the Bowling Alley for two games. At 18:00, your hosts will collect you and take you home, unless we have arranged transport to take you back to your host families. Your host families have received emails with this information, so there's no need to worry about how you'll get home!

York Minster dominates the city skyline and is the biggest tourist attraction in the region!
Come to the College for 09:00 as normal. We will all walk together to the Minster. We will have a look round, including a guided tour and do some project work based round our visit.

We will visit Robin Hood's Bay and Whitby and also have the chance to visit Goathland - home to Hogsmead station, a must for Harry Potter fans!

Beverley is a beautiful market town in East Yorkshire, famous for its square and church. Castle Howard is one of the most famous Stately Homes in England. Used for many films and TV series, the house is set in amazing grounds with lakes, follies and fountains.

Treasure Hunts are a city-based quiz. The answers are in shop windows and on street signs - but you have to find them!
We will get together at the end to find out who has won and have a hot drink.

Harewood is a great stately home, coming to terms with its history and involvement in the slave trade. The house is home to a stunning collection of art and furniture and also has a lake, gardens and a bird garden. Harrogate is a charming spa town with some good shopping and a famous tea room!
Changeover day

We say goodbye to those going home on this, the final day of Summer 2023! We run a transfer service to Leeds and Manchester airport from early morning until the evening. It's sad to say goodbye but we hope you have had a great time with us and will have many happy memories of your time in York!
