9th February 2026 at 16:00-17:30
This is our chance to show you some of the highlights which make York one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe!
We will also show you the bus stops, where to change money, the main shopping areas and our meeting points for activities in the City.
Taking lessons into the city
10th February 2026 at 14:00-16:00
Our lessons out bring learning English together with exploring the best of York. This afternoon we will visit one of the city's great educational tourist spots, learning about the history, culture, and significance that makes them special.
Your teachers will be with you and lead class activities to help you keep using and practising your English while out in the city.
Strike!
11th February 2026 at 16:00-18:00
An exciting evening of bowling with friends at Yorks leading local bowling alley!
How many strikes will you get? The Melton College bowling championship allows bowlers of all abilities to have fun and try their best. Will you triumph and be crowned our inhouse champion?
Meet the locals
12th February 2026 at 14:00-16:00
Projects are a great way to get to know the city, speak with locals and visitors and practise your English.
We will prepare some project work in our lessons and spend the afternoon completing it in the city centre.
Typical British Baking
13th February 2026 at 16:00-17:00
Have a go at baking traditional British scones in the Melton College café.
We'll provide the ingredients and help you follow the recipe.
Swords and shopping
14th February 2026 at 09:40-17:00
The Royal Armouries is home to one of the world's largest collections of arms and armour, but also provides a fascinating insight into some of the wars which have shaped Europe over the last 1000 years.
The museum is in Leeds and a short walk brings us to the shopping area for some free time!
Changeover day
15th February 2026
On Sundays we say hello to new students and goodbye to those going home. We run a transfer service to Leeds and Manchester airport from early morning until the evening. It's sad to say goodbye but we hope you have had a great time with us and will have many happy memories of your time in York!
Look for clues in our medieval streets
16th February 2026 at 16:00-17:30
Treasure Hunts are a city-based quiz. The answers are in shop windows and on street signs - but you have to find them!
We will get together at the end to find out who has won and have a hot drink.

At the Hole in Wand!
18th February 2026 at 16:00-17:30
Take on York's popular wizard golf course. Use your skills as well as your spells to get round the magical course in as few shots as possible!
Your score at the end of the course will decide which potion prize you take home. Will it be tears of wizard or basilisk blood?

Manchester is one of the most well-known cities in the North of England. From football, to industry, to music, the city has earned its place as one of England's most popular destinations.
You will have chance to explore what the city has to offer, visit a museum, grab some lunch and go shopping!
Time to go home
