A Great Easter
We have just had a wonderful Easter Course and, yet again, we have been delighted to see how well the “Family Course” idea works!
As usual, I have lots of photos in Dropbox. If your child was with us, send me an email and I will send you the link!
Lace moves in!
Earlier in the year, our Academic Manager, Lace, moved into Melton Guest House with her lovely children, Iris and Robin. As I am the last “child” to live on the College campus, you can imagine how happy I feel to see kids enjoying the environment in which I grew up! Having Lace with us really adds to the sense of community! It will also add to the toys in the garden and we have already added a huge sandpit, a balance beam and a second swingball!
Summer
As I said last time, the “sweet spot” for families (based on school holidays) seems to be 21st July ~ 25th August.
What courses will be running?

Who will be coming?
We are trying to use a chart which will help families to see which week has a concentration of kids. Actually, a couple of weeks this summer are already nearly full! The chart is here, and in the download section.
Keep in touch
I know it is really annoying when businesses send endless emails. We want to keep in touch to tell you about York and Melton College, we want to tell you interesting things – whether you plan to return or not (but we hope you do!). So rather than me contacting you, we have set up some ways to “drop-in and see what is happening
We have a new Melton Family Facebook page here . It is a “hidden” page so no one sees it and the only people who can join are parents of former and future kids on our family programmes.

Meet Finn the College Mascot
Our mascot travels! Finn travels with me and “posts” his location from all over! Other members of the herd also travel and send in holiday snaps. For those that don’t feel too old for soft toys, from June, there will be a member of the herd waiting on your pillow and looking forward to travelling home with you. All we ask is that she or he sends on a photo for the Gallery! You can see Finn’s travels here.
