- What are Melton College’s official accreditations?
Accreditation, what it means
Melton College is accredited by a body called ‘Accreditation UK’. They inspect the quality of the services we provide. To remain accredited, we have to abide by a large number of criteria. These include:

Homestay accommodation is a room in a local family's house, sometimes on your own and sometimes shared with another student at Melton college.
- What can you expect from Homestay?
Staying in Homestay accommodation means that you will live as a part of a local household, you will eat with the family and be able to join in with family life.
- How much will it cost to get from my Homestay to the College?
Some of our homestays are within walking distance.
If your homestay is more than 2Km from the college, a local bus pass is included

- How long will it take to get from my Homestay to the College?
Go to google maps, put in the homestay address and college address .
Choose either walking or catching the bus. It will show the length of time it takes.
- What time is curfew?
When at Melton College, if you are under 18, the College will, in certain circumstances, make decisions on behalf of your parents. The College has decided that all students under the age of 18 should return home by certain curfew times. See ‘Read More’ for details.

Student's over 18 will have a single room. Student's under 18 may be required to share a room with a student from a different language group.
- Do I have to stay in Homestay?
No, we also have our very own hotel, Melton Guest House, next door to the College! You can also arrange your own accommodation.
- Is food provided in Homestay?
All students are provided with breakfast, packed lunch (Monday-Saturday) and evening meal.
- Do you provide a private bathroom in the accommodation?
Yes, there are a limited number of private bathrooms in our Homestay accommodation at an extra cost. In Melton Guest House all bedrooms have private, en-suite, bathrooms.
- Do you provide TV?
Most host families will have a TV and will allow you to watch with them. There are videos and DVDs in the school that you can watch.
- Can I make food and drinks for myself?
There are facilities in the school for you to make food: a microwave, hot water, cups and plates etc. You can eat your food in the school cafe, but not in the classrooms. Please do not make food in your bedroom because of the fire risk - ask your host family.
- What kind of accommodation for families do you offer?
We can accommodate families in Homestay or families can stay at our hotel, Melton Guest House, which is next door to the College!.
- How long can I stay?
You can come for as little as one week up to four weeks.
We will welcome you to start a course at any time of the year during our seasonal courses, except the two weeks over Christmas, when the school is closed.
